Nicole: *nods her head slowly, cries harder* I can't help it, James. James: Here. *wraps her frail body in blankets, snuggles up with her* We don't have to go out tonight if you don't want to. Nicole: *looks into his eyes* Are you mad at me? James: Of course not. *kisses her forehead* But please, do me one favor. Nicole: What? James: *goes into the kitchen and grabs an apple, slices it, brings it back* Eat this? Nicole: *doesn't say anything* James: Please, for me? *tears form in his eyes* Nicole: *wipes his eyes* Fine, but only for you. *begins to eat the apple slowly* James: *kisses her forehead* Thank you. Do you know why I'm making you eat this? Nicole: *doesn't say anything* James: Because I love you. I want you to be around for a long time. *cups her face in his hands* And because I really do think you're gorgeous. You always have been. *smiles* Nicole: R-Really? James: Of course! Nicole: *snuggles closer to him* I probably ruined your night, didn't I? James: No, I'm still with you, aren't I? *smiles* Nicole: *smiles back* James: *feels her body shivver ...
