Transform Ubuntu into Mac OS X Snow Leopard [EN/FR]

Very fast and easy way to transform either Ubuntu Lucid Lynx (10.04) or Maverick Meerkat (10.10) to Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6). [[ Click on the CC button for French subtitles ]] ==LINKS== For Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat (10.10) : bit.ly For Ubuntu Lucid Lynx (10.04 LTS) : bit.ly // UPDATE -- PLEASE READ // To get a better global-menu (the Apple menu / Finder bar): - Remove the old Finder bar by right-clicking and selecting Remove from panel. - Then open Terminal (press Alt+F2 and type "gnome-terminal") and then type: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8 sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gnome-globalmenu - RESTART the computer. - Right-click on the top panel and click Add to panel. Then select "Global Menu Panel Applet". There you go! You now have a very similar Mac OS X feel. //ANOTHER UPDATE// In case you want to install this on another Linux distro, try installing it via terminal: 1) Go to the folder where you've downloaded the file, and then open the terminal (press Alt + F2 and type gnome-terminal). Then drag the file in the folder "Macbuntu" called "Install.sh" to the terminal window. It should look something like this: ~ $ '/home/xskydevilx/Downloads/Macbuntu-10.10/install.sh' - then add the following string after the quotes -- "force", and it should like something like this: ~ $ '/home/xskydevilx/Downloads/Macbuntu-10.10/install.sh' force FINALLY, press ENTER and begin installing it on your distro (GNOME of course) *SIDE NOTE: This may not work so ...
